摘要：A paper supply apparatus to supply paper to printing devices such as printersor copiers. The paper supply apparatus includes a knock-up plate on which papers arestacked, a pick-up roller that feeds the papers into the printing device by picking up the

papers stacked on the knock-up plate, a lifter that lifts the knock-up plate so that thepapers stacked on the knock-up plate continuously contact with the pick-up roller, amotor for driving apparatuses in the printing device, a spring clutch that connects themotor to the lifter to transmit power, and a brake lever that selectively transmits poweraccording to height variations of the pick-up roller via the spring clutch. In the papersupply apparatus, since the knock-up plate can be lifted using the power of the motorthat is used for driving other apparatuses of the printing device, an exclusive motor forsupplying paper is unnecessary, thereby reducing the number of parts and powerconsumption.
