对于一个型号比较老的，有系统控制匙的那种RS/6000系统，需要将控制匙转到SERVICE位置（使系统启动到Maintenance模式），连接好外设，给外围SCSI设备加电，按下主机电源开关 （1）插入第一张AIX V4.3.3光盘

系统加电，启动固件程序，执行MPU，硬件初始化。当在控制台显示器上出现键盘时（字符端显示为Keyboard字符，图形终端显示为键盘图标），在图形终端按F5改变启动序列，选择从光盘或磁带引导。

第二步：指定系统控制台

第四步：安装设置

用户选择完控制台和安装用语言后，进入安装和维护菜单。

用户如果需要修改语言环境，建议在此阶段修改，这样系统会一次性装入语言环境，而不必等待安装完毕之后在进行额外的安装。

如果用户指定安装可信计算环境TCB(Trusted Computing Base)，系统将会装入可信路径、可信Shell和系统完整性检查等软件包。可信路径可以保护系统不受伪造的实用程序的破坏，尽可能保证用户所运行的程序都是可信程序。

如果用户需要安装TCB环境，必须在安装设置中修改该选项，否则一旦系统安装开始运行，用户再无机会安装TCB环境。 在此处我们选择 1 第六步： 选择安装方式

选择了安装方式以后，用户还必须选择用于安装的硬盘，控制台上会列出可用的所有硬盘，用户也可以选用BOS不支持的硬盘用于安装，在这种方式下用户必须先安装设备驱动程序 第八步：设置语言环境

开始安装BOS，安装好以后系统自动从硬盘重启动 第十一步：

系统重新启动后，会进入安装辅助菜单。此处可进行基本配置，这些配置也可在SMIT中配置。

用鼠标点击“Exit the Configuration Assistant”，然后点击“Next>”按钮，在下一屏幕中点击“Finish”按钮，退出安装辅助菜单。下次启动不再进入此菜单。 屏幕弹出登录界面。

用root用户登录，进入CDE界面
