摘要：A system is disclosed for producing a plurality of substantially identical printsusing a plurality of dissimilar printer systems. Each of the substantially identical prints aregenerated from a neutral data file defining a print image and an image characteristic datafile defining an attribute of the print image. The image characteristic file provides anoriginal absolute value for specifying the attribute. The system includes a first printersystem and a second printer system, both responsive to the neutral data file and theimage characteristic data file for producing a first print and a second print, respectively.The attribute on the first print has a first original actual value corresponding to theoriginal absolute value provided to the first printer system by the image characteristicdata file, and the attribute on the second print has a second original actual valuecorresponding to the original absolute value provided to the second printer system bythe image characteristic data file. The system creates a substantially similar print on thesecond printer system by using the systems for creating a replacement imagecharacteristic data file for generating a second substantially similar print using thesecond printer system.
