摘要：A method for enabling remote self service retrieval of medical information foran individual is disclosed. The method includes steps of storing personal information andmedical information in different databases. Different encryption keys are used to isolate

the types of information. Upon receipt of a request from a health care provider, theauthenticity of the request is verified. At a central location, using the identification of theindividual, the medical information for that individual is retrieved and provided to thehealth care entity treating the individual.
