Academics 学术
Very good academically and is very challenging if you are a science major
这里的学术很好，但是科学专业比较有挑战性。
You get help if you ask for it

I picked this school because of the academics. The professors are very willing to help and want their students to succeed. They know what it is like to be in our shoes and want to help. Registration is easy for me since I have priority registration, but I know some people do not get the classes that they want because of the registration system we have. The pass times are split up by grade, but it seems very arbitrary where individuals go within those grade distinctions.
我选这里的原因就是这里优秀的学术。教授们都愿意帮助学生，也希望他们的学生获得成功，他们也都深知学生的不易之处。选课对我来说不是什么难事，因为我有提前选课权，不过我也听说很多人会因为选课系统而选不到想要上的课。能否通过课程取决于成绩，但是每个人在各种课的表现都不一样，也不好判断一定会取得怎样的成绩。
Campus 校园
Davis is a great school with a scenic campus and great study spots.
戴维斯是一个很好的学校，风景很漂亮，也有不少能好好学习的地方。
Davis is a great town for families, the elderly, and college students alike. There are many parks and attractions, the year round farmers market is very popular, and downtown is a great place to hang out and get great food.
戴维斯这座城市是一个既适合家庭养老，也适合大学学生的城市。在这里有许多公园和景点，农产品市场也非常受欢迎，市中心也很适合出去玩或吃好吃的。
Nothing spectacular really. One of the least aesthetically pleasing school I applied to.

There is a lot of great food in Davis, but it can be expensive. It's not always expensive however and some places have great prices for lots of food (Blaze, El Burrito, etc)

Housing 住宿
The dorms are costly, but have great atmosphere.

Campus life for me went really smooth. In no time I met friends who I ate with for the rest of the academic year.

Overall Experience 总体体验
The school is really amazing and I love how environmentally aware they are. However, I am a transfer student and am having trouble making social connections and keeping up with academics. I know this is probably more of a personal matter, but I wish they had a little bit more resources aimed towards transfer students.
戴维斯真的是很不错的学校，而且我特别佩服学校在环保上作出的努力。不过，作为一个转学生，我发现在重建自己的社交圈子的同时保持学术水平是件挺难的事。我知道这可能也只是我个人，不过我还是希望以后学校能有更多面向转学生的资源。
I personally love UC Davis. It is an incredible school! The classes are hard, which is expected out of a university that takes pride in its academics, but can be a big change from your highschool academics. Overall it is a great experience though; the people are welcoming, the teachers are understanding, and it is a perfect fit for the party lover or hard core studier. Everything is open to you, you just have to make the choice to pursue them.
我个人超爱戴维斯，这里真的棒极了！课程挺难的，不过对于这样一所以学术著称的学校来说挺正常的，但是对于从高中升上来的我们还是一个挑战。不过这还是一个挺好的经历，同学们都很热情，老师们都很热心，如果你是一个既爱party又很会学习的人这里将是你的完美fit。所有机会都尽在你眼前，只要你努力去追求，就会取得成功。
Based on my experience so far in the University of Davis, I can say that it has been great. There are many student activities that happen very often which gives us the chance to become more involved, meet new students and learn more about our school. The majority of the students are very outgoing, respectful and helpful which makes it easy to create a strongrelationship with others. As for the support we receive, the school provides good resources to help us along our academic school years, whether it is for academic reason or self issues like depression or other. Not only that, but the fact that this school is located in a safe area, it makes the life of a college student like me, more healthy.
从我目前的经历来看，戴维斯确实是一个不错的学校。这里经常有各种各样的活动可以去参与，认识新同学，或者更好地了解学校。大部分学生都很外向，互相尊重也互相帮助，所以在这里结识一段真挚的友谊是挺容易的一件事的。至于学校对学生的帮助方面，学校在学期里为我们提供了各种优良的资源，不论是学术方面还是生活心理等方面。不仅如此，学校也地处于比较安全的地段，所以大家也能够安心地健康生活。

Party if you can, don't feel pressure, you can enjoy yourself after graduation. Also, don't be stupid.
如果你想party你当然可以，但是不想也不需要感到有压力，大学毕业之后再享受生活也没有什么不好。当然，也不要做蠢事。

I haven' gone to parties, or clubbing because I am under 21.

The party scene consists of frat/sorority parties, which are just about dancing and drinking. I personally find them boring and immature but for A LOT of atudents they are fun and 'cool'.
一般party都是兄弟会姐妹会开的，人们也就是跳跳舞，喝喝酒。我个人不大喜欢，觉得无聊又幼稚，但是真的有不少人都觉得这些party有趣又很酷。

Most people are accepting of diversity. When there's hate against a certain group, people join together and speak up.

Greeks are seen at school events, and they're generally not troublesome. They may lead you to file a noise complaint, but they're pretty friendly and accepting. It seems like most people don't care too much. If you join, great. If not, also great.
兄弟会姐妹会当存在并没有给学校带来许多麻烦。有一些会有点吵，让你想投诉，但是大部分还是很友好的。我感觉大家一般都并不怎么在意，想要参加就参加，不参加就不参加，也没有什么不好。
Not the greatest teams in the nation (except basketball and baseball, we rock). But it doesn't really matter, we still go out there and support our athletes.
虽然学校的运动队不是全国最顶尖的水平（当然篮球和棒球除外啦），不过大家也不在意，我们依然会支持所有的运动员。
